I have been working with John Cherry on a few boards lately. He gave me these two project boards to do for Sacred Craft. One is a 9'6" nose rider and the other is a 9'0" Simmons replica.

Both boards are chambered balsa. John made the blanks and gave them to Terry Martin of Hobie Surfboards to rough shape and then got them back to chamber them. Terry finish shaped them and John sent them to Ric Allison on the east coast to do the wood on-lay octopus and jelly fish. After so much work already into them I got them to handle the glassing. They were a lot of work as a team effort to get them done but I think the end result came out good.

This is a 9'2" Nose rider I shaped with multicolored stripes top and bottom in the lamination. Custom fin to go with it too.

Another one for Jack Ocean Sports, Japan. This one's a 9'2 nose rider. I like boards with a different look than the sea of boards with the same look. 

This is a 9'6" nose rider I shaped recently. Keeping it moving...

We just finished this custom 9'6" nose rider that I shaped for Mike Copp. He said he wanted the the colors to be wild and stand out, so I did this two tone tiger stripe nose with orange tint body. Then we made this lime green fin out of wood to match. 

I'm cutting out a nose rider that I'm about to shape in this photo.

I think wet boards always have a nice look to them. This one is in the hot coat stage.

This is a 9'6" nose rider I shaped custom for Brian. Two tone lamination with a red resin band.

I shaped this nose rider for a friend and she said to do whatever I wanted for the color and this is what came out. Dennis designed and foiled the fin for this one also.

Working on a 9'5 log here. Hand shaped as always.
