Christmas gift's from Skip and Donna. T shirt, bag and a Christmas card hand made by Donna. I really like when people take the time to make something themselves. It means much more to me. Merry Christmas!!

Todays set of laminations.

Naomi and Yukie came to San Diego together to pick up Naomi's new board. We had a dinner party on thursday night and on Friday me and Naomi went to surf San Onofre with Skip, Masa and friends. It was fun to have them here for a visit but now they are back home and back to work. Hope to see them again. Check Naomi's blog and Yuichi's for more.

Skip with his personal 10' Fish Simmons. He is always testing new things so he's always getting new boards. Every board has a story to go with it just ask him.

This is a 12' Eagle for Richard Cravey. Richard had Jim Phillips piece together two 11'3D's to get a blank big enough for this project. Skip said okay to the idea and shaped it for Richard. The black band is covering the seam of the glue up. Richard will be surfing Cardiff with it soon.

I like this stringer. Something different.

Larry Mabile and Skip deigned this blank for Surf Blanks America. Skip gave me a 6'8MF(Mabile/Frye) to try out. I shaped this 6'6" egg out of it and gave it to Mina to practice glassing. I liked the way the blank shaped. It was a little thick for hand shaping, but a very versatile blank. More foam lets you have more choices for the final outcome.

This is a 10'5" Fish Simmons for Chris Rule, owner of Surf Indian in Pacific Beach. His shop is a surf art based shop with a rotating schedule of shapers. This board is now hanging in his shop until he waxes it and goes for a surf on it. I'll try to get a finished picture of it before it makes it's maiden voyage.

We finished my 5'11" egg from Skip on Wednesday. I surfed it Wednesday night and Thursday night. It's a really fun board for me. So fast.

I can't say enough about how nice Skip is to me.  He shaped this 5'11" egg for me as a gift. Thank you Skip! I am teaching Mina about glassing on this one. Her second board to glass, both Skip shapes so far. Skip always has good advice for me and he invites me to watch him shape when I have time. I am thankful for this. I enjoy our conversations. I feel like he is a good friend to me, always helping me and caring for me. He is a good person.
