Yuske and Maki are here on a two month vacation. They have been stopping by from time to time to see what's happening. This time they brought two friends. I want to go on a two month surf vacation!

Chigusa is working for Oakley Japan and came to San Diego to pick up her new board.

During her visit we went to dinner and had a fun time.

Takashi from Osaka with his 9'9 Drifter.

Takashi is always happy and so animated. He's a really fun guy to be around.

Eigo is not so good even his mom is an english teacher but we get each other.

Sam with his 9'6 Nose Rider. Sam is the owner of the Tajima restaurants here in San Diego. He has good food there so you should go and try it if you can.

Custom 9'9" for Takashi. He wanted same board as Mina's but 9'9".

I have been working with John Cherry on a few boards lately. He gave me these two project boards to do for Sacred Craft. One is a 9'6" nose rider and the other is a 9'0" Simmons replica.

Both boards are chambered balsa. John made the blanks and gave them to Terry Martin of Hobie Surfboards to rough shape and then got them back to chamber them. Terry finish shaped them and John sent them to Ric Allison on the east coast to do the wood on-lay octopus and jelly fish. After so much work already into them I got them to handle the glassing. They were a lot of work as a team effort to get them done but I think the end result came out good.
